ABOUT ROBOTICS: SMART MACHINES – SUPER SPHERE

The Robotics: Smart Machines – Super Sphere kit by Thames & Kosmos offers the opportunity to construct and program seven remarkable robots, among them a spherical robot - an impressive, nine-inch-diameter, rolling robotic sphere! By utilizing the dedicated application on a compatible Bluetooth-enabled device, you can exercise remote control over and program the Super Sphere and other robots. Drive your robot through the remote-control interface in the application or craft programs using the intuitive visual programming language provided within the app. With the built-in sound sensor, you can create sequences of commands for your robots to execute based on the number of claps (or other loud sounds) they detect.

HOW TO USE:

• We recommend meticulously following the step-by-step instructions outlined in the manual enclosed within the kit. Here is a concise guide to help you navigate through building and operating the Super Sphere:
• Download and install the application.
• Adhere to the assembly guidelines on page 14 to construct the initial model, the Super Sphere. Ensure proper insertion of batteries into the Bluetooth battery box as per instructions on page 2.
• Activate the model by shaking it until the blue light on the Bluetooth battery box illuminates, indicating that the module is powered on. The module is designed to switch off automatically after approximately one minute of inactivity to conserve battery life. Reactivate it by simply shaking the model - an innovative movement-activated on-off switch!
• Establish a connection between your tablet or smartphone and the model using the complimentary app. Follow instructions located at the bottom of page 7.
• For remote control mode driving of the Super Sphere, follow guidance on page 8 along with driving tips provided on pages 22–23.
• To run a program on the Super Sphere, refer to instructions on page 24. For comprehensive insights into how the programming mode within the app functions, consult pages 9–13. Experiment with editing existing programs for Super Sphere or embark on designing your custom programs from scratch.
• Proceed with building one model at a time while executing sample programs listed in the programming section following model assembly.
